We are Moving!
We will be closed after December 18th to move our offices. Come visit us after January 4th at our new location in Downtown Mulberry.
The mission of the Mulberry Community Service Center is to create financially stable households. We meet the basic needs of families and individuals in crisis and work with them to encourage financial health in the community.
Our business offices, the thrift store and the clothing pantry are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
We are also home to the Personal Finance Center of Polk County which offers financial stability courses with incentives for Polk, Hardee and Highlands County Residents.
We have always supported United Way, but had no idea that one day, Mulberry Community Service Center, a United Way agency, would be helping us. Their timely act of generosity came at a time of crisis in our lives.
Like many of you, from the very onset of the pandemic we took every precaution to stay safe from the Corona virus. But I tested positive and was sick for 3 weeks, missing work without pay. At the same time, my wife was hospitalized for 13 days with acute respiratory failure from Covid-19. It literally put a halt to everything in our lives except our bills. That’s when a friend put me in contact with Mulberry Community Service Center. They assisted us financially by helping us meet our mortgage and utility payments.
We can’t thank them, their donors, sponsors, and their representative, Tarrel Davis, enough for extending a helping hand. Mulberry Community Service Center is certainly making a difference in the community with their many programs, “one family at a time,” and this time it was mine! We are truly grateful.
