GIVING TUESDAY

Hello Friends and Supporters!

Tuesday, December 3rd is Giving Tuesday and we’d like to encourage everyone to support the Mulberry Community Service Center!

The Mulberry Community Service Center plays an important role in the lives of the greater Mulberry Community and we are excited to announce we are currently $174,000 away from breaking ground on a new building!

The mission of the Mulberry Community Service Center is meeting community needs, one family at a time. Each month we distribute almost 480 boxes of food thanks to our mobile food pantry in partnership with Feeding Tampa Bay and the United Way of Central Florida.  Last year, we prepared taxes for approximately 1500 individuals, provided free school uniforms to Mulberry students and assisted in paying utility bills or rent for over 100 individuals.

In addition to our safety net programs, the Personal Finance Center of Polk County offers financial education. We have worked with over 430 residents in Polk County to assist them in establishing financial goals, creating budgets and developing systematic savings. Our coaches also offer free credit restoration services and assistance in job credentialing.

With your support, we can continue providing these valuable services to the community and the new building will become a reality. Donations can be made directly through our website using the ‘Donate’ button. For questions or more information, please contact Tarrel Davis 863-425-1523.

As we share in the giving spirit this holiday season, please know we appreciate and thank you in advance for all your support!

The mission of the Mulberry Community Service Center is to create financially stable households. We meet the basic needs of families and individuals in crisis and work with them to encourage financial health in the community.

Our business offices, the thrift store and the clothing pantry are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

We are also home to the Personal Finance Center of Polk County which offers financial stability courses with incentives for Polk, Hardee and Highlands County Residents.
